Contract for supplying De-NOx SCR system (PaNOx™)at the biggest domestic combined cycle power plant.

 

Panasia, which is getting the spotlight in the market for ballast water management system, has pursued the market diversification through new product development targeting for offshore and land based stationary plant market using the core capability of green technology against long term recession of shipbuilding economy. As a result, Panasia signed the contract of supply for Lump-Sum Turn-Key such as De-NOx SCR system(PaNOx™)’s design, production, construction and test followed by first PSV(Platform Supply Vessel) De-NOx SCR system contract. This project will be built in the land of KEPCO and commercial operation of gas turbine in July, next year & general completion in October, 2014.

 

There is no case that De-NOx SCR system was supplied to combined cycle power plant of domestic biggest capacity 950MW (1.5% of total domestic electricity supply, same as production capacity of Kori Nuclear Power Plant 3), but also this time as Panasia signed the supply contact, Panasia officially proved the superiority of Green technology of Panasia.

 

Panasia has secured original technology of unrivaled De-NOx SCR system through 13years of consistent research development and Panasia acquired NeT certificate from government and registered 20 domestic & international patents. Based on this, Panasia has experience to supply De-NOx SCR system for middle size electricity generationto New York & Hawaii in USA, and to supply more than 10 De-NOx SCR system to Gas Turbine, Boiler, and land generation equipment in California area where has most severe environmental regulation of NOx in the world.

 

This because Panasia received favorable review about function and quality by acquiring vender approval in the global market including U.S.A. through this contract Panasia expects turning point to arrange the foothold to enter the big land power generation market. Also, after big earthquake in Japan in 2011, the safety issue is on the rise, and globally the extension of thermal power generation is considered, instead of nuclear power. Emission control system has to be considered to overcome the pollution problem for thermal power generation. In this regard, the demand for NOx reduction facility will be steadily increased.

 

Meanwhile, NOx reduction facility must be applied to the ship from 2016 based on IMO Tier lll rules, and at the end of 2011, Panasia currently is producing its first in the country after signing the PSV contract, and it will be delivered after acquiring the DNV classification cetification.
