PANASIA builds 2nd Factory Training Center.
Following the installation of training equipment for its proprietary ballast water treatment systems around the world, PANASIA, an eco-friendly systems expert, completed the Training Center on September 2, by installing scrubber training equipment at the 2nd Factory built to provide training on recently much-discussed scrubbers.
The purpose of the Training Center is to respond promptly to strict environmental regulations and maintain mutually beneficial and cooperative relationships with local engineers.
To meet customer needs quickly and accurately, PANASIA has long provided the Field Engineer Training Course to agents working around the world.
In March 2015, PANASIA provided six sessions of the Field Engineer Training Course attended by 22 engineers from 14 companies in 12 countries. In 2017, it provided two sessions of the Advanced Training Course attended by eight engineers from five companies in five countries. Through lectures and practices for about two weeks, the participants learned about ballast water treatment systems and tank level gauging systems, which are also staples of PANASIA.
These systems made by PANASIA are not accessories used to improve vessel performance or increase revenue for ship owners. They are essential pieces of equipment expected to function properly at all times to comply with environmental regulations. If any of such systems has problem, the ship owners operating vessels can be subject to a fine, or in the worst case scenario, detention. Therefore, not only the stability of the equipment’s performance, but the skills of a ship’s crew operating such equipment are also considered important. PANASIA’s training course covers early training, how to use equipment, and how to respond to emergency situations, ensuring more stable and efficient operations.
Built at PANASIA’s 2nd Factory, the Training Center is expected to provide a much better training environment and systematic programs. With the tightening of marine environmental regulations, environmentally-friendly systems have received a lot of attention. There is a growing demand for such training from many shipping and ship management companies, as well as various governmental agencies responsible for overseeing compliance with related regulations. The company explains that this engineer training course will continuously improve its technological cooperation and build new collaborative relationships with global agents. In this fast-changing environment, the training center will help provide flexible and quality services to global customers.
Also, the company provides faster and more sophisticated service by adopting the marine satellite control systems (MSCS). The MSCS is developed to gather various sorts of data from equipment installed on board a ship, monitor the equipment’s state in real time, and help the ship’s crew troubleshoot easily when encountering a problem with the equipment.
Through this new training center in place, PANASIA can now provide prompt, contact-less customer service without sending engineers out during prolonged periods of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring more flexible response to emergency situations.
