One More Step forward in UV Lamp and PANASIA

It’s been three(3) years since Panasia started its 1st  smart factory for manufacturing of UV Lamp.. Although there were some trial and error during the process, there came a meaningful improvement effect.

As of Mar. 2018, through several additional automation facility expansion process, Panasia could achieve a dramatic increase in the production quantities and quality of UV lamps. while defective products are dramatically reduced.

For that purpose, numerous manual process have been replaced by automated process especially for Bonding process of UV lamp which is key factor.

Quartz sleeve is very important thing that surrounds UV lamp to protect its lamp.  Over the three(3) years efforts to improve UV lamp quality, Panasia had gathered big data to analyze which one is the main factor to be problematic on UV lamp failure. Based on the research, most frequent failure is resulted by lack or pool ponding process..  It was proved when after analyzing the defected goods which run less than 100 hours , and most crack were found in bonding part of Quartz sleeve. 

During our research, Panasia were sure that the most important factor for UV Lamp’s quality is how well manage the bonding process.  And in order to improve this bonding process, SMART Factory was expanded in several stage.

In line with the Smart factory as national support project, Panasia works on internal IASP (Improvement Assurance Single Product) activity.  As result, Panasia started manufacturing and supplying the improved UV Lamp from January 2023 with below management plan. 

1) Improvement of existing process (Bonding process of UV Lamp)

2) Follow-up management  (Collecting damaged UV lamp and in-house lab testing)

3) Continuous improvement work

Regardless of the saying, Panasia will keep monitoring and improving lamp continuously to improve its quality.
