NOTICE ON THE USE OF
With the increasing use of non-genuine or substitute parts
in major
systems such as BWTS and
scrubbers, regulatory
risks and operational uncertainties are expanding.
Recently, cases of non-genuine
parts usage have been
continuously
identified on some vessels, and
similar issues
are being repeatedly
reported by multiple customers.
Accordingly, to ensure stable system
operation and protect
our
customers,
we aim to strengthen our guidance on the
use of genuine
parts.
Now, please check the genuine parts standards.
Key Risks of Using Non-Genuine Parts
The use of non-genuine parts may offer short-term cost savings, but the associated risks can accumulate and lead to actual operational losses.

Cost
The use of non-genuine parts may violate Type Approval requirements and can
lead to
deficiencies or corrective actions during PSC inspections or Class surveys.
As durability and reliability are not verified, the risk of safety incidents increases,
and
failures during operation may directly impact vessel operations.
Non-genuine parts may cause performance degradation and measurement
inaccuracies,
leading to system instability and unexpected failures.
Issues arising from the use of non-genuine parts may limit PANASIA’s warranty
coverage
and technical support. Therefore, the use of genuine parts is strongly
recommended.
Frequent failures and reinstallation can increase maintenance costs, while
additional
losses may occur due to operational delays and liability disputes.
Official Warning Notice
We would like to inform you of the official warning regarding the use of non-genuine parts not approved for PANASIA systems.
As this is a critical matter related to system stability
and certification compliance, we strongly recommend reviewing it.
Importance of Using Genuine Parts

Genuine Product Identification Guide
You can verify the authenticity of PANASIA products based on our official standards.
Please use the checklist below to conduct your own inspection.
Genuine products feature laser engravings in an intaglio (engraved) form, which feel smooth to the touch
without any raised or rough surface.
The presence of the ‘PANASIA’ marking alone is not sufficient to
determine authenticity, so it is important to verify the engraved (recessed) texture directly by touch.
In addition, genuine products are equipped with a hologram sticker including ‘QA PASSED’, and it is
recommended to check both the presence of the sticker and its consistency with the official design.
Genuine products are equipped with a dedicated Tag sticker, which clearly displays key information
such as sensor name, sensor number, sensor type, measurement range, model number, and code
number.
If the sticker is damaged or shows signs of reattachment, there is a possibility that the product is not
genuine. In such cases, additional verification is strongly recommended.
Genuine products feature laser engravings in an intaglio (engraved) form, providing a smooth surface
without any raised or rough texture when touched. If the engraving appears raised or feels rough, there is a
possibility that the product is not genuine, so caution is advised.
In addition, genuine products use a serial number composed of a combination of letters and numbers.
However, as cases of imitation have recently been identified, it is recommended to verify the serial number
directly with PANASIA for accurate authentication.
PANASIA UV LAMP products are supplied in dedicated packaging, and the package lid is affixed with a
genuine hologram sticker.
It is recommended to first verify the presence of this sticker.
In addition, the lamp surface features a laser-engraved marking, and it is important to ensure
that the ROT number on the engraving matches the ROT number indicated on the package cylinder.
* The use of non-genuine or substitute parts may increase the risk of failures due to performance degradation
and measurement inaccuracies,
potentially leading to recurring system issues.
* Please note that issues arising from the use of non-genuine or substitute parts may limit PANASIA’s warranty coverage and technical support.
Therefore, the use of genuine parts is strongly recommended.
